The Wellspring Outpatient Program offers:
- Substance abuse and mental health assessments
- OUI treatment and assessments
- Mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorder counseling
Our Treatment Approach
At Wellspring Outpatient Services, counselors meet with clients individually in a confidential, client-focused setting that allows clients to look for solutions. Counseling sessions are guided by a mutually developed treatment plan with measurable and attainable goals and may be brief and focused on a specific problem, or may be more expansive, focusing on the root causes of a person’s issues and concerns including past or current traumas, depression, anxiety, etc.
In addition to guiding their clients through the treatment and/or recovery process, counselors may also introduce clients to other services available in the community and advise them on the most effective treatment strategies. It is our goal to assist clients in cultivating their strengths and becoming happier, healthier, and more productive, using the least restrictive treatment approach possible to achieve lasting results.
Group Therapy
Along with individual counseling, Wellspring offers group sessions to clients involved with:
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons
- United States Probation Office
- The State of Maine Adult Community Corrections
These groups offer empathic support and encouragement to people who are struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues by engaging participants in dialogue about relapse prevention, early recovery skills, and skills necessary to successfully transition back into the community.
What’s required to attend group therapy?
Unfortunately, our groups are not open to the public at this time; in order to participate in our group environments, clients must be referred by one of the identities noted above. Wellspring also provides an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and is also pleased to be the substance abuse treatment provider for the Penobscot County Adult Treatment Drug Court.
How much does it cost?
Services are covered by many health insurance plans and we offer a sliding fee scale for those individuals without a health insurance plan. No one will be denied services based on an inability to pay. We are able to accommodate hearing impaired individuals as well as provide interpreter services from community support services free of charge.
