Nancy Kelly

Nancy Kelly, MSW, ACSW, received her BSW from Richard Stockton State College and her MSW from Rutgers University. For many years she worked as a Social Worker before taking the position of Assistant Dean of Student Services for Rutgers University School of Social Work. Since 1992 she has been the Field Director for the University of Maine School of Social Work in Orono, Maine. She teaches field-related courses and seminars and also teaches in the area of human behavior and the social environment. Her research interests include mental health, diversity issues, ethics and gerontology. In addition to serving as the President on the Wellspring Substance Abuse Services Board, she also serves as the Secretary on the Board of Directors of SAGE MAINE. She volunteers as a Library Assistant at the Stockton Springs Community Library and recently participated in Maine’s REACH Ally Training. She has rescued and now takes care of six animals at her home, one of which has been trained and is a Certified Service Animal.
