We need your help. A nonprofit organization with over 50 years of service, Wellspring is headquartered in Bangor and helps individuals from across Maine who seek help for addiction and/or co-occurring mental health needs. We provide licensed, evidence-based treatment that has helped thousands of people with the disease of addiction, but the call for help is at an all-time high. More and more people we know are addicted to alcohol, opiates, and other drugs. Your support is needed more than ever before. Gather your friends and family and join this year’s race! This year we are honored to have the Director of Maine’s Opioid Response, Gordon Smith join us to talk about his work, as well as Serve as the Starter for this year’s 6th Annual Race for Recovery.

“The race does more than help those in treatment – it helps fight the stigma that stops many from seeking help.”

“In the last half decade the Race for Recovery has raised over $100,000 to help Mainers recover from addiction!”

“Maine’s number of substance exposed births currently exceeds the national average by more than five times. The race helps Wellspring provide life changing treatment for pregnant women and new mothers.”
